Welcome to Nuclex
Nuclex is an AI-powered IDE for synthetic biology. Design genetic circuits using natural language, visual editors, and AI suggestions—from idea to DNA synthesis order in hours, not weeks.
What you can do
- AI-powered circuit design — describe what you want in plain English and let the AI assemble a genetic circuit from real, characterized parts.
- Visual circuit editor — drag, drop, and connect parts using standard SBOL glyphs on an interactive canvas.
- Parts database — search parts from iGEM, NCBI, and AddGene by function, organism, or keyword.
- Design validation — automatic checks for codon optimization, promoter-RBS compatibility, restriction site conflicts, and metabolic burden.
- Export & import — SBOL, GenBank, FASTA, and JSON formats with round-trip fidelity.
- Synthesis ordering — get estimated quotes from Twist and IDT, compare prices, and order on provider websites.
- Primer design — PCR, Gibson Assembly, and Golden Gate primers with thermodynamic validation.
- Backbone & assembly — select a plasmid backbone, export full plasmid maps, and generate junction primers.
- Templates — start from 15+ proven circuit designs and customize them for your needs.
- Sharing — share designs via public links. Anyone can view without signing up.
How it works
The AI pipeline follows five stages: Intent Parsing → Parts Retrieval → Circuit Assembly → Validation → Output. Every design goes through biosafety screening before export or synthesis.
